WE ARE NOT DEFINED BY FASHION.......WE ARE INSPIRED BY IT
We are Cheryl & Wendy (ChenDy) -  who love creating gorgeous and unique custom hand dyed clothing/tapestries/bedding/towels & other items such as customised wood & fabric privacy screens/room dividers by manipulating fabric dye into various patterns. (Actually anything that can and will be dyed)…….nothing is safe if it’s white.
We make a range of items either by sewing our own garments which we have personally created patterns from scratch or we support the local industry by purchasing ready made blank garments which are produced in South Africa.  The garments are then hand dyed by us, using a range of  professional textile dyes and our designs vary from Ye Old traditional Hippy Style Spirals to fabulous Shibori and more subtle designs and cater for the many varied and different tastes and styles from babies to adult. Every single item is unique, no exact patterns or colours placements are every repeated thereby giving everyone the opportunity of wearing and owning something that is a one off creation!
We are extremely passionate  in passing on knowledge of our trade and enjoy teaching others this wonderful craft, thereby providing empowerment opportunities. We do workshops/individual lessons and get involved in charity work with various non profit organisations.
We sell our Professional Fabric Textile Dyes for natural fibres (i.e. cotton, hemp, bamboo etc) & supply handy customised DIY Tie Dye Kits which include full instructions & everything needed for you to make your own works of art – you can use our dyes to either give a new lease on life to your old garments or dye new garments, towels, socks, underwear, bedding and even your old sneakers.
We are always looking for more Eco Friendly options as well by minimising the use of plastic and excessive use of water and created  the JUMBLED JAR DIY FABRIC DYE KIT - this uses a technique called Low Water Immersion Dyeing, you literally use about 2 cups of water for this process and you actually dye your item in the provided glass jar.
